Hi, my name is

I'm a computer science student at Georgia Tech specializing in AI and internetworks.

Check out my work!

01. About Me

Hello! My name is Connor Mcilhinney and I enjoy building products or things that make the lives of others easier. My interest in computer science started back in 2019 when I decided to learn how to code in the car while my mom drove me to soccer practice!

Fast-forward to today, and I've had the privilege of working at various companies. My main focus these days is building accessible, inclusive products and digital experiences for a variety of clients.

Here are a few technologies I've been working with recently:

  • AWS
  • PostgreSQL
  • YOLOv8
  • Django
  • Retool
  • N8N

02. Where I've Gained Experience

Software Engineer Intern @ Noded

August 2025 - Present

  • Engineered Python backend services leveraging requests and BeautifulSoup to validate article URLs, detect accessibility issues (redirects, paywalls, CAPTCHAs), and extract clean HTML content
  • Integrated third-party APIs (Finnhub, Alpha Vantage) to enrich company news retrieval, unifying heterogeneous data sources into a normalized JSON schema
  • Built relevance-scoring framework combining keyword heuristics and LLM-based semantic filtering for higher-precision news ranking

Software Engineer Intern @ PDI Technologies

June 2025 - August 2025

  • Designed and provisioned AWS infrastructure (ECS, ALB, IAM, RDS PostgreSQL, Secrets Manager) to securely deploy and scale n8n, an open-source automation platform
  • Containerized n8n using Docker and orchestrated deployments with Terraform for a reliable, repeatable infrastructure-as-code workflow
  • Rolled out n8n access to all ~2,400 employees, empowering organization-wide automation through a secure, cloud-native solution

Quantitative Analyst @ GT Investment Committee

January 2025 - Present

  • Researched insider trading patterns using SEC Form 4 filings to assess employee confidence and uncover potential investment signals
  • Built a Python-based backtesting system incorporating weighted factors such as employee role, trade size, and timing
  • Presented the strategy to the committee, leading to its adoption within GTSF's $2.6 million actively managed portfolio

Software Engineer Intern @ Canopy

June 2022 - August 2022

  • Conducted competitive research to identify strategic application opportunities for Canopy’s outbound software solutions
  • Collaborated directly with the Head of Sales and CEO to understand client needs and refine product-market fit for emerging technologies
